Isaiah 43:25 tells us that God blots out our sins and remembers them no more. It says, “I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.”
I was thinking about this today and how at times we remember things we should forget. I wonder if we should be more like God in that way. Should we remember certain things no more?
Here are three things I think we should choose to forget…
- Past hurts – times when we have been hurt in the past and they carry through to today. Maybe we should remember them no more.
- Past words – times when people have spoken mean or wrong thigs over us. Maybe we should remember them no more.
- Past sins – time when we have fallen short of God’s standards. God has forgiven us. Maybe we should remember them no more.
Today I would encourage you to let go of things from the past. Don’t carry baggage from the past that is not meant for today or the future.
